Swan Districts

Well this was our first ever time going to the 'Footy'.
Your's truly, Jacko and Sarah went to our very first 'Aeral Ping Pong match' (Aussie rules). And we had a beaut time watching the Black n' Whites go 'round, so now were real ridgie-didge Swan Districts footy fans. The Swans or the black ducks (as there known) come from Bassedean oval which thanks to a beaut sponcership deal is now called STEELBLUE OVAL. And thay play in a comp called 'The Waffle' (WAFL) and are about as good as me old mates The Macquarie Scopians

This was our first match at home and it was against East Perth, Easts are a very good side and after leading by 7 goals in the first quarter we went on to win by 30 points.

And the Swanies have their own cheer squid 'You little ripper', as you can see Sarah was a little down cos the swanies were down that quarter....poor little weasel.




So after our first match this was the score, as you can see we done them like a dog's dinner. The final score was

WEST PERTH .........14 10 94

Since then we have watched the Swans loose every flamin' match . First against Claremont then a lose against the wooden sponsors Peel, and we didn't come within cooee of South Fremantle Bulldogs and as for the match against the leader of the comp Subiacco.... we'll put it this way the fat Sheilah was singing well before the second quarter, as they went on to give us a fair dinkum shellacking.
